Anglesey Weekend 8 - 10 May 2009
Discover Anglesey Workshop 8 - 10 May 2009
fotodayz want to improve your photography
The aim of this weekend is to get you beyond that first step. It's learning from doing, learning from mistakes and playing with the black box.
I guide you through the process of translating what catches your eye to making the final image and help you understand the technical aspects behind those decisions:
- How to adjust exposure to deal correctly with varying light conditions.
- How to use lead in features to create depth and add interest to a composition.
- How to use depth of field using aperture priority settings.
- How to adjust speed settings and use the shutter speed creatively.
- How to use filters and meter effectively.
Although it is a fairly structured course I aim to maintain an informal feel. It is after all your time out in stunning countryside and I hope we will also have fun, enjoy making new friends and mucking in together.
Itinerary :
Friday night: Meet and dine.
Saturday:
We will gather early for a sunrise outing. This is optional should you wish to have a leisurely breakfast overlooking the sea.
The brave ones will then head back for breakfast.
The morning will be spent on the Maritime Heathland of South Stack.
There will be a few hours in the afternoon to gather breath should you wish explore some more of the area before we assemble for a sunset outing.
After dinner there is an option to review the days shoot or just chill out.
Sunday:
Sunrise is not optional!
The afternoon will be split into separate sessions which will guide you through the digital workflow from setting up colour management, processing your images from RAW to printing.
Course notes are available to download after the course to enable you to consolidate your learning experience and you are always welcome to contact me via email or phone for further advice for up to 6 months after your course.
