An eample of front lighting. The dark clouds provide a wonderful background to the vivid colours revealed by the spotlight. When the whole scene was lit it still looked dramatic with vivid colours but it looked 2 dimensional so we waited for spot light to roll over the hill. The natural spot light added the 3rd dimension by adding shape and form to the surrounding land.
