There’s a huge and ever expanding range of iPhone mobile phone Apps for photographers these days, from basic editing, sunset/sunrise and special effects. When it comes to what’s useful out in the field though, these are the Aps that I have found most useful.

The Photographers Ephemeris.

The Photographer's Ephemeris helps you plan your outdoor shoot, with full details of how the sun and moon move across the land.

Used in conjunction with google maps takes the guess work out of wondering where the sun will hit.

Darkness

Darkness is an advanced world clock with some unique and interesting features. See the time for sunrise, noon, sunset, moonrise and moonset for any city in the world on any date, plus a whole lot more. Darkness features a huge database of well over 20,000 cities.

Doesn't depend on the internet.
